22 May Imagination is everything: Shakespeare, Yeats and Einstein
In the studio this month I have been working on some one off commissions including this lovely piece above. A lot of painstaking cutting out with the scalpel knife but its nearly finished and well worth all the hard work.
I have had it on my to do list for quite a while now to update the artwork on the Shakespeare pencil collection and to introduce a new Personal range of pencils, which I just launched on the website this week. The new artwork will be added to the non personalised range over the next while as stock is sold.
The new artwork is crisper and more detailed with the hand drawn element adding an extra element to the boxes.
I was asked to do a commission of W.B Yeats pencils a few months ago for a subscription box company that I work with www.myirelandbox.com this along with it being a year of commemoration for Yeats inspired me to put together a design to celebrate his poetry. I am looking for some feedback on what your favourite W.B Yeats poems are and I am looking to design both pencils and pen’s around this theme.
TO TELL ME WHICH ARE YOUR FAVOURITE W.B YEATS POEMS JUST LEAVE A COMMENT AT THE END OF THIS POST
Finally I picked up this chalk board at Tiger ages ago for a photo booth I made up for a party I was organising and it makes the best ‘quotes’ board don’t you think?
I love this Quote by Albert Einstein “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions”
